AAB

The Arubaanse Atletiek Bond (AAB) was founded on the 6th of September 1963, and will be celebrating it’s 45th anniversary in the year 2008. The AAB is internationally known as The Aruba Athletic Federation and is yearly involved in all Track and Field events on the island of Aruba.

AAB’s primary goal is to promote and develop the sport of Track and Field in all it’s aspects. To achieve it’s goals the AAB organizes Track and Field trainings and supplies facilities for it’s members who practice this wonderful sport. They also organizes different events and competitions throughout the year, among others the Aruba National Championships. Besides local events the AAB stimulates and supplies the necessary tools for their qualifying athletes to participate in international championships.

The Aruba Athletic Federation is affiliated with the IAAF, the International Association of Athletic Federations and other sports related organizations locally as well as internationally.
