Succesful Level 1 Coaches Course Recently Held In Aruba
The Level 1 Coaches Course which was held from December 4th till December 18, 2006 was organized by the AAB and IDEFRE with cooperation of the IAAF’s Regional Development Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The participants were Track and Field coaches from the AAB and sport instructors from IDEFRE. The course was given by the two professors, Michael Serralta from Puerto Rico and Roy Thomas from Jamaica.
As known the participants are evaluated during practical sessions and by means of a written exam at the of the course. Out of the 21
participants 16 successfully passed both evaluations, for which they received the Level 1 Certificate.
Guillermo Guerra achieved the highest score and based on his score is also eligible for the Level 2 Course, while others will be recommended for the Level 2.

At the closing ceremony Mr. Harry Janssen (President of the AAB) and Mr. Jesse Beukenboom (director of IDEFRE) congratulated the participants and also thanked the
lecturers for their presence here in Aruba.
