ARUBA REPRESENTED
AT THE CARIFTA
GAMES IN SAINT KITTS & NEVIS An Aruban Team consisting of four of our top athletes are now competing at the CARIFTA 2008 Games in Saint Kitts & Nevis. Jorella Croes: a Javelin and Shot Put athlete in the age group under 20 will be performing according to schedule both on Sunday and Monday. Shot Put competition will be held at 10.00 am on Sunday while Javelin Throw will be on Monday at 9.00 am. Charlene Leslie: the youngest athlete on this Aruba team will perform in the girls under 17 high jump event finals on Sunday at 15.30, and hope to set a new personal best height. Shane Nedd: last year’s silver medalist at the CARIFTA 2007 and Junior record holder for Aruba in the Shot Put will be proving his capacity this year once again but now in the boys under 20 age group. Aruba’s junior record holder Michael Rasmijn: Once again at the start of the 800m in the boys under 20 heats, promises to improve his personal best at this year’s CARIFTA. Aruba Athletics Federation wishes them all the best at CARIFTA 2008 in Saint Kitts and Nevis this Easter weekend.
